About

DBOX is a branding and creative agency founded in 1996 by architects Matthew Bannister, Charles D'Autremont and James Gibbs and based in New York, London, Miami and Taipei. They work on craft, innovation and marketing of brands for developers, real estates and architecture firms. Since the 1990s, DBOX, which stands for "dialog box", came up with the use of CGI for portraying architectural design. A passion for virtual worlds, united with a deep knowledge of representation issues, creates captivating narrative experiences and immersive spaces. Whether the building is existing or not it doesn't matter. The virtual worlds created by DBOX are self-sustaining environments, shaped with a unique style that shows how far architectural visualization has come. For years now they have worked with major firms such as Richard Meier and Partners, Skidmore, Sir Norman Foster creating the most amazing and cutting-edge architectural renderings of the last fifteen years. In 2012 DBOX was awarded with an Emmy for its CGI and branding work on "Rising: rebuilding Ground Zero", a mini-series relating the activity on the Ground Zero building site. One of their latest works is the video created to market "423 Park Avenue", a luxury condo that is by now the tallest building in the NYC skyline.
