About

Architects Stefano Gri (Udine 1963) and Piero Zucchi (Udine 1965) founded GEZA - Gri e Zucchi Architetti Associati in Udine in 1999. Graduates of Università IUAV in Venice, they both teach Architectural Design at the University of Trieste since 2009. Besides practicing in the fields of architecture, master planning, urban design, interior design and product design, the architects at GEZA place great importance on the communication of their ideas and visions through videos. Their video "Pratic Headquarters and production complex" explores from different perspectives the elements of a constant engagement with the natural context in their design for the new buildings of Pratic (Fagagna, Udine, Italy), as well as the deep focus on landscape that characterizes the overall project. GEZA's works have been awarded with several national and international prizes, publications and exhibitions, such as Mies van der Rohe Award 2013 (finalist project) and 2011 (selected project), the Gold Medal for Italian Architecture at the Triennale di Milano in 2012 (winner in the 'private client' category) and 2006 (selected project). They participated in the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2012, their work being part of the Padiglione Italia, "Made in Italy" exhibition. GEZA's projects have been featured in exhibition, in Italy and in Europe; and they haven been published in International architecture and design magazines.
