About

a.p.r.e.s production & editions is a production company working in a wide range of cultural subjects: art, architecture, design, literature, performance, cinema, music. Its approach is direct towards contemporary creation, transdisciplinary, and is open to society. The main activities of a.p.r.e.s are design, production, realization and editing of documentaries. Gilles Coudert is the founder. He is author, director and producer of over 100 documentary films on art and architecture. He consistently documented the works of artists including Tadashi Kawamata, Daniel Buren, Fabrice Hyber or Kimsooja, directing various films on their work or taking part in their international exhibitions and projects. Between 1997 and 2007, Gilles Coudert produced and directed numerous films for the "Metropolis" cultural series on the ARTE television channel. He has also taken an active role as consultant or organizer in artistic and architectural projects and events as French Pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 1997 and 2004 and the L'estaciò art project from 1999 to 2007. From 2010 to 2014, he has been the director of the research workshop ­"Mémoire à l'œuvre" at the School of Fine Arts in Avignon. He also taught at the School of Architecture in Versailles from 2007 to 2009, and was a professor at the University of Angers between 2002 and 2005.
