Arquitectura à Moda do Porto - Nature

Building Pictures

Observing relationships between architecture and nature in Porto.

The city of Oporto (Portugal) and the relationship between its modern and contemporary architectures and its green areas and seafront are the absolute protagonists of this fun live-footage, the fourth episode in the “Arquitectura à Moda do Porto” series.

The complete video project - ten episodes started in December 2013 - was conceived and produced by Building Pictures, Filipa Figueira and Tiago Vieira to promote the architecture of the most significant buildings of Oporto in the last 20 years. The videos take the viewers on short and delightful tours of the city to beat of music in order to involve a wider and general public.

In the background one can recognize famous projects designed by Eduardo Souto de Moura (Casa das Artes), Sidónio Pardal (Parque da Cidade), Álvaro Siza Vieira (FaSouto de Moura (Casa das Artes), Sidónio Pardal (Parque da Cidade), Álvaro Siza Vieira (Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade do Porto, Museu de Serralves, Avenida dos Aliados), Manuel de Solà-Morales (Passeio Atlântico), Adalberto Dias (Funicular dos Guindais), Arx (Centro de Sangue), Carlos Prata (Molhes do Douro), Balonas & Menano (Passeio dos Clérigos).
