About

Pedro Mascaro is an engineer and has worked in the corporate environment for 8 years. Growing up in a family of artists, he has always been in contact with photography. In 2015 he began to focus on aerial images captured with drones and saw them as a way to turn photography into a profession. In recent years he has devoted his work to aerial and ground photography and performed photo and audiovisual production. Among other works, in July 2016 he did the aerial photographs for an essay on Mariana tragedy for Piauí magazine: the essay (which includes also photos taken on the ground by his father, the photographer Cristiano Mascaro) has been transformed into the exhibition "The Lama - from Mariana to the Sea", which has been shown at the Imperial Palace (Rio de Janeiro) and at Instituto Moreira Salles (Poços de Caldas).
